Terry Pratchett's

Inspired by Shakespeare's Scottish Play, this is a strange tale of a murdered King, a lost heir, a welsh playwright,
a folorn court jester and of course three witches with a cauldron.

Performed October 8th, 9th & 10th  2009

Here's what it's all about.  King Verence of Lancre has been brutally murdered by Leonal Felmet,
Duke of Lancre, egged* on by his wife the Lady Felmet.

A well wisher smuggles the Kings son away from the castle to save his life
and place him in the care of three witches called Magrat Garlick, Nanny Ogg and Granny Weatherwax

To disguise their charge, the witches find a troupe of strolling players with whom he can live until he
he is old enough to reclaim the crown.

Meanwhile the kingdom is revolting.  It feels unloved by its new ruler who never pays it attention, never
buys it flowers and never puts the cap on the toothpaste!   It wants a proper King and it wants one NOW.

*Actually the Duke does not like egg, so it was more likely to have been bacon.
