This
comedy focuses on a day in the life of Alec Partridge
a theatre manager, as
he is forced to contend with an alcoholic producer, a two timing stage hand
and a Chairman of the Board with his fingers in the till all the while
trying to put on a production of ‘Oklahoma’ with real corn and horses! As
the events unfold the play proves that the action backstage is often more
entertaining than that in front of the curtain.

A play with an unusual mix
of comedy and drama, which gave the cast lots of scope to develop individual
character roles. We were pleased to welcome the playwright to
our final performance and to discuss our interpretation with her after the
