Curtain Up on Murder

This is a thriller set around the activities of an amateur drama group rehearsing for their next production. All is not as it seems and a number of the characters have plans that are not part of the 'play' being rehearsed.

The story is set in an ageing end of pier theatre, with the action taking place during one evening and night. The characters are all members of the archetypal amateur drama group. Fortunately real life theatre groups have a great deal more fun than this lot seem to! |

The production was directed by Val Aves, a long standing member of our group, who then went on to direct another play from Bettine a few years later. The production was presented during the week ending 19 May 2001. |
