Twyford & Ruscombe Theatre Group's
2003 pantomime
a Jim Sperinck pantomime
Our pantomimes do not include plastic stars from TV, or deafening music that would rival a teenage pop concert. Ours are good old-fashioned, side-splitting, silly and soppy, hum-a-long, groan-a-lot pantomimes.

The setting for our 2003 panto was Nursery Rhyme land. Local elections had just taken place and Hickory Dickory was the newly elected leader. But the wicked witch was not pleased, she wanted to win the election and make everyone really miserable.
When Hickory's friend Humpty plays a trick on her, she decides to vent her anger and frustration on him, which is how he comes to fall off that wall.
In the picture on the left, Humpty unknowingly tastes the dogs dinner in Mother Hubbards kitchen, watched by Colonel Blunder, Hickory and a rather
disgruntled dog!
But of course everything turns out fine in the end and Polly, the kitchen maid gets to marry the
very handsome Major Asset.
Twyford and Ruscombe Theatre Group are a small lively theatre group that have
been entertaining local residents with their pantomimes since 1965. During that
time they have built a reputation for excellent sets and thoroughly entertaining
shows.
Pictures taken by Alan Fitzgerald.
